Why ?

This blog is being made and being added to over the course of "9 Friday's" as Ms. Clemons (the new english teacher) has told us. The first book I'm going to start to read is Insatiable by Meg Cabot. The public library just got it in and I'm going to have to keep it from them for even a longer time and I've already re-checked it out, they're gonna hate me. Well, hopefully the book is good, and hopefully I can become interested in this book and not give up on it. Wish me luck and remember; these words are to live by :)

My second book is Nothing But Trouble by Rachel Gibson and hopefully it's a good book. Just by reading the back it seems like it's going to be good so we'll cross our fingers.

I interjected a little bit of Nothing But Trouble, and now I'm just writing about Dead Until Dark. If I need more pages after I've finished with that one, then I'll write about Nothing But Trouble again.

36-116; Dead Until Dark

I've pretty much given up on Nothing But Trouble. I've read it all but this book is just more fresh in my memory so I'm just gonna blog about this one.

So, Sookie asks Bill about the meeting and Bill agrees that he'll go. The next morning, Gran is cleaning the house, getting ready for Bill's arrival. Gran is really excited about it, but Sookie is a little uneasy. Jason calls to tell Sookie that the strangest thing happened, the Rattrays trailer got turned over and trees all around the trailer got uprooted and the Rattrays were found crushed to death underneath it. The police are calling it a hurrican, but immediately Sookie knows that Bill did it, to protect her. Bud Dearborne, the sheriff, knows that Sookie and the Rattrays had a sort of argument the other day and so she kind of is a suspect, even though a "hurricane" did it. That night, Bill comes over to talk to Gran and enjoy some peach tea with her and Sookie. After they have a nice discussion, Bill and Sookie go for a walk in which they learn about each other's lives and certain vampire tendancies. The next day, as Sookie was enjoying her night off, Sam calls her and asks her to work because Dawn didn't come in. Sookie grudgingly accepts and goes in from 5-9 even though she has plans with Bill to hang out. When Sookie is at work, she has an interesting conversation with Sam. Sam is asking her about her mind reading and stuff and he gives her permission to look inside his mind sometimes and search around in there. She finds it odd, but she finds it nice to have permission for once. After work, Sookie goes up to Bill's house and finds that he has company. When she walks in, she finds three other vampires and two humans. One female vampire, Diane, tries to convince Bill to let her "have a sip" but Bill says that Sookie is his and that means you can't feed from her. One of the humans is a gay man and he slithers up to Bill and starts doing suggestive things to him to try and get him to drink his blood. Bill's fangs start to come out but Sookie reads the gay man's mind and finds out that he's infected with the virus sino-AIDS. This didn't kill vampires as AIDS did for humans, but it leave the undead very weak for about a month in which it's easier to catch and kill them. So Bill backs off and the gay guy leaps at Sookie. Bill fights him off and the three vampires leave with their two humans. The next morning, Sam calls and asks Sookie if she'll go by Dawn's house and she if she's there because the last time he went, she yelled at him. Sookie stops by and she knocks but no one answers. She goes around back and peeks in the window to find Dawn, all bloody and bruised, laying on the bed. Rene, who's getting in his truck a couple feet away, calls the police. When the team of Kenya Jones and Kevin Prior arrive, they question Sookie and everyone who lived around them and other people who have had sexual relations with them, like Jason. Sookie is heading home when she spots Bill leaning up against a tree by her house. She tells Bill about Dawn's death and asks him if he'll take her to a vampire bar because Dawn and Maudette both had bites on their inner thighs and Sookie wants to tie up loose ends and figure out who killed them, mostly because her brother is a big suspect. Bill agrees to do this. So, a couple days later, Sookie got all gussied up in a nice dress like she was going on a date, but really, she asked Bill herself. She got ready early, so she went to Merlotte's to pick up her check. Sookie felt awkward walking in because her brother, Rene, JB, a very handsome guy, but a player, and Same were all in the bar and she was wearing a very revealing dress. When they got to the bar called Fangtasia, Sookie first questioned the bartender who said that he had seen both Maudette and Dawn at the bar, but they weren't supposed to reveal who they left with. While her and Bill were sitting down, Bill was approached by 5 women fang bangers and one male -- he turned them all down. When Bill asked why Sookie didn't interject anything, Sookie said it wasn't her place. Bill tells her that a very handsome, old, vampire was scanning her down from across the room so they went over there and Sookie asked the same questions. The vampire, Eric, said he'd been with Dawn and she liked for men to hit her when they.. ya know. Sookie catches something on mind radar that the cops were on their way, so she tells Eric and the bartender to get outta there and her and Bill leave. When they get home, Bill gives her the most amazing kiss of her life and Sookie wants to tell Bill before she looses her nerve, that she's not going to make anymore dates for them, that he has to call her.
